If you have Lightroom CC this update is a no-brainer and will probably download and install automatically. Adobe does not appear to be keeping their support people up to date. That said, the people I talked and chatted with seemed really hazy on the question of a standalone upgrade for Lightroom 6. If you stop paying your files stop working. In my opinion renting software from Adobe is still a bad idea because of the lock-in. Fortunately Lightroom 6 standalone is still available. There is very little to recommend the Classic version except that it will include a few bug fixes and the Dehaze filter that came out a while ago for Lightroom CC. Instead they are offering Lightroom Classic CC, which is a desktop focused version without the cloud features of Lightroom CC-for the same price in a package with Photoshop CC. I made a call to Adobe because there appeared to be a Lightroom 7 in the wings, but I was told by support persons in India, both in a phone call and a chat that there will be no standalone version of the next version of Lightroom. These two signs can clash when it comes to career because Virgo doesn’t have the time or energy to give Scorpio all the praise they need. Virgos sometimes pursue multiple paths at the same time. Virgos are ambitious, but with their tenth house of career in Gemini, they’re much more focused on solving problems and having their hands in everything. Virgos, on the other hand, are much more chill about their goals and how they’re being perceived. As far as work ethic, they need to do things their own way and can stay very fixated on one project until they reach burnout. Scorpios want to be stars and can sometimes be divas. So to them, career and status is everything. Scorpios have their tenth house-the part of the chart that describes one’s public image-in the sign of Leo. Here's our full breakdown on Virgo and Scorpio compatibility. Interestingly, even though mutable Virgo values independence while Scorpio could stay handcuffed forever, as a Washington Post Love Match Reading explains, the signs' placements give them an "intense karmic bond." So, once a Scorpio is in, they’re in it for life. They’re extremely forgiving with their partners (often to their detriment!) mostly because they hate change. In fact, once Scorpios are in a relationship, it’s almost impossible for them to get out of it. There’s nothing sweeter to them than being with someone who allows them to be their whole self-flannel Snuggie and all. As for a Scorpio partner, their extreme passion and loyalty means that relationships are their comfort zone. To be loved by a Virgo is to be loved by someone who will move a mountain to get to you and then insist that you solve everything their way. To understand Virgo and Scorpio compatibility, first we need to break down how these two signs navigate love separately. Not to mention a certain Barry Alan Crompton Gibb too. But ultimately, the story of the Bee Gees is one of never, ever giving up. With 21 different songs to hit US or UK #1, five decades of international top-10 hits, over 220-million album sales, and inductions into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame and the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, there’s little the brothers Gibb didn’t achieve.ĭespite that, they suffered enormous personal loss and experienced a backlash that’s still unprecedented in popular music history, the driving sociological factors of which are brilliantly scrutinised in the doco. As in, they’re awesomeness is so overwhelmingly awesome that yes, they’re “f**kin’ awesome!” But there’s also so much else to say.Īs such, the doco is a glorious deep dive into how three brothers born on the Isle Of Man became among the absolute elite of popular songwriters of all time. Justin is both so wonderfully and succinctly right, as well as – far less importantly – a tiny bit wrong. As Justin Timberlake says in the doco’s first teaser trailer, “there’s nothing else to say about the Bee Gees except that they’re f**kin’ awesome”. The whole experience has been such a privilege and I can’t wait to see the final cut. I remember Nigel dropping me off at a Beverly Hills hotel with a rooftop bar with views across LA after our meeting was over and thinking, “Yes! I could be very happy doing business in LA!” Especially of a Gibb-related nature. I’d been enlisted by White Horse Pictures (at the suggestion of Barry Gibb’s manager Dick Ashby) to be an advisor on a then yet-to-be announced documentary about my biggest musical heroes, the Bee Gees.Īre you kidding me!? This was dream come true stuff right there and meeting Nigel, Jeanne and Aly – and in the entertainment epicentre of the globe no-less, was, it’s fair to say, extremely exciting. It was a pinch-me kind of moment to be sitting in an office in Beverly Hills back in February 2018 with people whose films have won both Oscars and Grammys and discussing the subtleties, intricacies and mysterious magic of the brothers Gibb. And that’s what Frank and Nigel have done, alongside their team, including producers Jeanne Elfant Festa and Mark Monroe and supervising producer Aly Parker. Indeed, the subject matter couldn’t be more deserving of the best in the business honouring them with a film that not only does the remarkable legacy of the Bee Gees justice, but extends it even further. And that’s just for the doco’s director Frank Marshall. It should be too because irrespective of the subject matter, the people behind the doco have one of the most eye-popping resumes in the industry with production credits on everything from Back To The Future to Raiders Of The Lost Ark, from The Color Purple to The Sixth Sense, and from Jurassic World to the Bourne franchise. ![]() The trailer for the brand new documentary about the Bee Gees – How Can You Mend A Broken Heart – has landed and it’s a doozie.
